Several eulogies are spoken. Others are carried away forever.

Last week, Kelly Osbourne became one of the first people in the world to be tattooed on the London Eye.chose an unforgettable setting to honor his late father, Ozzy Osbourne. Suspended 443 feet above the River Thames in a slowly rotating glass capsule, she was given a tattoo that said everything without saying much.

legendary glasses

Rather than dates, lyrics, or portraits, Kelly chose one of her father’s most famous trademarks. It’s his signature round glasses that are now permanently imprinted on her thighs.

This work was created by Miles Langfordfounder of london social One of London’s most respected tattoo artists. Known for his sophisticated black and gray work and celebrity clientele, Langford has built a reputation for creating tattoos that balance technical precision with personal storytelling, making him the perfect artist to create memorial-based memorials.

The design is instantly recognizable to generations of fans. These iconic frames became inseparable from Ozzy himself, as legendary as his stage presence, unmistakable laugh, and unforgettable moments. osbornes cultural phenomenon.

This tribute reflects a bond that extends beyond music. Since Ozzy’s death on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, Kelly has been candid about working through grief, from celebrating his first birthday without a handwritten card to opening up about how he still looks for advice, a laugh, or simply to share life’s milestones.

There’s also some appropriate irony. Ozzy famously discouraged Kelly from getting tattoos when he was younger, even though he himself was covered in tattoos. She ignored that advice at the time, but years later that same defiant attitude became one of the most meaningful ways she honored him.

The world’s first rotating tattoo studio

The environment was as memorable as the tattoo.

In partnership with London Social Tattoo Studio, London Eye converted one of its capsules into what is believed to be the world’s first rotating tattoo studio, offering artists and clients an unobstructed 360-degree view of London while the wheels slowly spin 135 meters above the city.

Kelly helped launch the experience, along with football star Georgia Stanway, creator George Buggs and TV personality Zach Noble. The photo showed her smiling during the session, wearing a red and white polka dot dress as the London skyline stretched behind her.

Public demand was matched by excitement. When pre-orders opened ahead of the July 2 release, all 32 pre-orders sold out within 24 hours.

The future of experiential tattoos

This experience also reflects a growing cultural shift.

Tattoo tourism has become one of the fastest growing trends in the travel world, with more people choosing meaningful tattoos over traditional souvenirs. Rather than taking something home with them on a shelf, travelers mark milestones with artwork that they carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Suspended above one of the world’s most famous skylines, a tattoo studio may be the boldest expression of that movement yet.

heritage written in ink

Few people have shaped modern tattoo culture quite like Ozzy Osbourne.

Long before tattoos became mainstream, Ozzy unapologetically tattooed and helped redefine what tattoos could represent. Not just rebellion, but identity, storytelling, and self-expression. Off stage, the world has come to know a different side of him: a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and one of television’s most beloved family members.

Now, Kelly carries a small piece of that legacy with her.

There are just two simple circles.

A symbol that every fan knows. Reminds us of the man behind the legend. And a memorial written not in words but in ink above the city where his story first began.

Long live the Prince of Darkness. 🦇
